The course takes the concept of malady as a standpoint for debate between the aligned struggles of the peoples (otherwise minorities) that have united to the energies that up to this day constitute the sheer force of radical politics. That is instrumental to understand the form in which we conform to a sense of normalcy vomited by an institutionalized sense of equality and that takes away that which is unwholesome.
The course pretends to ignite discussions around our understanding of emancipation, normativism and equality and propose to keep on appropriating the voice of illness/gender/self as an effective form of intellectual resistance. SUMMARY I. Of self and other mythologies II. The nostalgia of pop culture and its failure of achieving future III. Nonconforming to the norm(s) IV. On cruelty and horror V. Alter |
